Manny Hernandez

I am an Electrical Engineer from Venezuela. I first went to school in Caracas and between 1994 and 1996, I went to Cornell University, where I obtained my Master of Engineering. Between 1996 and 2000, I worked for Procter & Gamble in Production Management. Since then, I have found my true professional love to lie in the web space, so I have become a Web Product Manager, Online Community Specialist and Web Content Strategist.

I currently live with my wife and son in Palo Alto, CA where I work at Ning, a platform where you can create your social network for anything. I blog at AskManny.com and I am an avid Amazon.com reviewer (#75 in the overall ranking).

In March 2007, I founded TuDiabetes.com, a social network for people with diabetes, followed by EsTuDiabetes.com in Spanish, in August 2007. Since September 2007, I started writing a monthly column called "Hola Diabetes" for dLife in English and Spanish, aimed at the Latino community. In March 2008, I founded the Diabetes Hands Foundation.
